The Sacrament of Marriage
The matrimonial covenant, by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership of the whole of life, is by its nature ordered toward the good of the spouses and the procreation and education of offspring; this covenant between baptized persons has been raised by Christ the Lord to the dignity of a sacrament.
Arrangements with the church should be made at least 6 months in advance. (Whereas there can be a lot of paperwork to complete, plus mandatory preparation classes in the archdiocese, and the possibility of prior marriages to annul, and/or permission from the archbishop granted to marry a non-Catholic, no dates are guaranteed unless arrangements are made for a specific wedding date with Fr. Tim one year in advance).
For more information, please contact Fr. Tim to discuss the process.
