Parish Council By-laws

St. Peter’s Parish Pastoral Council                                                                                                            January 2022

St. Peter’s Parish Council has recently approved updates to the By-Laws.  We are now asking members of St. Peter’s to review and vote on the proposed revisions the weekend of January 29-30.

St. Peter’s Parish Council is a consultative board that serves to gather information and propose recommendations to the Pastor. Our primary concern is for the major pastoral issues which affect the life and mission of the Parish.  The council is composed of six parishioners elected by the parish; three parishioners appointed by the Pastor; non-voting members include all Ministry Heads and Parish Staff.  Our Pastor Fr. Tim serves as president of the council.

The By-laws will be temporarily available for your review on the tables in the vestibule or on the St. Peter’s website at www.stplagrange.com under the Ministry tab.

You can vote either by paper ballot during Mass or online as a Flocknote will be sent out on the weekend of January 29/30.

The council is the Voice of the Parish.  Please feel free to contact any council member to share your ideas, concerns or questions.  We will be electing new members to the Parish Council in the spring.  If you are interested in being a part of the Parish Council, please let us know.  Thank you.
